  • Join us for an Engineering Workshop Series!
    We will learn about the scientific process, engineering design, and how to apply technology. Projects include: marshmallow catapults; prosthetic limbs and more!

  • Crochet Workshops
    Do you love being creative? Join us for three crochet workshops, where we will learn about yarn, weave, the basics of crochet, and complete a cozy project before the Holidays.
    When: April 3rd
    Time: 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
    Where: N.C. Cooperative Extension, Pamlico County Center
    Ages: 8 – 14
    Registration has ended.

  • Youth Livestock Project, Show, and Sale
    Pamlico County is happy to have partnered have been invited to join the Coastal Plains Livestock Show. We are very excited for our youth to have the opportunity to participate in a 4-H Livestock Project. Keep up with the kids on going projects on our Facebook page, and don’t forget to come out and support our kids at the Livestock Show and Sale April 22nd & 23rd.

  • Sewing Club
    Join us for Sewing Club where you can indulge your creative self! We will learn about different types of fabric, variances in weave, measuring for fit, how to read patterns, and the basics of sewing machines. We will also be completing individual and service projects.
    Ages: 8 – 14
    When: March 22nd from 4:30 – 5:45 p.m.

  • Debate Club
    Join us for Debate Club where we will learn the key to a good argument, fine-tune our persuasive skills, and master the art of appropriate heckling. Debate Club will begin on March 25th, meeting on Mondays. Our formal debate for family and friends will be on May 18th at County Activity day
    Preparing for a debate is a team effort and we are excited about your committed participation.
    Ages: 9 – 16
    When: Mondays from 4:00 – 5:45 p.m.

  • Presentation Club Interest Meeting

    Effective communication, and skillful public speaking are not innate abilities. The 4-H Public Speaking Program allows youth opportunities to develop these important life skills, and to practice in a fun, positive environment. Our county Presentation Club will host an interest meeting February 13th, our first club meeting will be March 27th. We will meet twice a month working on speech writing, oration, articulation, and presenting speeches before an audience. Participants will research, write, and present their own presentations, create slides, and present at County Activity Day on May 18th, before going on to the South East District Activity Day Presentation Competition.
    Who can participate?
    The program is open to all, youth ages 9 – 18 will create a 5 – 12 minute presentation for the competition, and youth age 5 – 8 can also participate by presenting a 2 – 4 minute presentation on a topic of their choosing. These early learning experiences can form foundations for development to build educational, and social structures for future success.
