This summer we will have five weeks of three-day, half-day summer camps, being held at the Pamlico County Courthouse kitchen. We will have three camps focusing on STEM, and two camps where we can embrace our creative side.

Registration links are located beneath each camp, and you can enroll in 4-H Online.

Go Fish: Biomedical Engineering Day Camp

Over these three days we will learn about the engineer design process, and how scientists combine their knowledge of biology and engineering to help people and animals maintain mobility by creating prosthetic limbs. Our big project will be designing a prosthetic fishtail!

When: June 15–17, 2021

Sew Much Fun Camp

Get creative with Maker Guide To Sewing, from June 29–July 1. This program is for beginner and intermediate sewers ages 10-15. We will be learning about sewing machine safety, patterns, fabric, and completing our own small project. We are looking forward to seeing everyone’s creations!

Introduction to Photography Camp

We will be exploring our creative side with photography! We will be focusing on smartphone photography. We will learn about composition, lighting, framing, and aperture. We will also be submitting photographs to the NC 4-H State Photo Contest. So get ready to snap!

Go Green: Recycled Racers

In this program youth will be exploring the fundamentals of engineering, and diving deeper into mechanical engineering. We will be learning about form, function, force, and motion. Our big project will be designing race cars from recycled material, and seeing how fast we can make them go!

Music to My Ears: Acoustical Engineering

In our Music to My Ears: Acoustical Engineering where we will get to combine our curiosity for science and our love for music. We will be learning about acoustical engineering, we will learn how sound travels, create our own acoustical device among other fun activities. Get ready for some percussion!
