Effective communication, and skillful public speaking are not innate abilities. The 4-H Public Speaking Program allows youth opportunities to develop these important life skills, and to practice in a fun, positive environment. We will meet twice a month working on speech writing, oration, articulation, and presenting speeches before an audience. Participants will research, write, and present their own presentations, create slides, and present at County Activity Day on May 18th, before going on to the South East District Activity Day Presentation Competition.

Who can participate?

The program is open to all, youth ages 9 - 18 will create a 5 - 12 minute presentation for the competition, and youth age 5 - 8 can also participate by presenting a 2 - 4 minute presentation on a topic of their choosing.
