2019 4-H Presentations
Public Speaking is an acquired skill, not a born ability! Developing, refining, and delivering a speech with confidence, and clear elocution is a life skill that is both crucial and sought after. Fostering the growth of these skills and oratory techniques provides youth with a sense of accomplishment as well as real application experience to draw from as they progress through life.
NC 4-H’s Public Speaking program provides youth the opportunity to develop these skills in a supportive, and positive environment, while having fun with friends and fellow 4-Hers. In this program youth research, write, practice, and deliver a 5-12 minute presentation on a subject they find interesting.
The 2019 South-East District Activity Day 4-H Presentation Competition will be held on June 21st, at the Craven County Community College.
Call the 4-H Office today and sign up for this fun and exciting event. The 4-H Staff will assist youth with topic selection, outline and organization, research and development, and opportunities to practice, both individually and before a panel of “judges”.
