Avery County Cooperative Extension Apple Tree Sale

The Avery County Cooperative Extension Center will be having a two-day sale on Thursday, May 9th and Friday, May 10th, 2019. The sale consists of apple trees left over from the 2019 Plant Sale and will be sold at discounted prices. Varieties available are Newtown Pippin, Mr. Gurney’s Delicious, Rhode Island Greening, McIntosh, Ray Apple, Wolf River, Grimes Golden, Fall Premium, Fallawater, Cox Orange Pippin, Gold Rush, Ashmead’s Kernel, Summer Banana and Winesap Blacktwig. Apple trees are two years old, bare root, approximately four feet tall, grafted onto M-111 semi-dwarf rootstock.

Anyone interested in purchasing the apple trees may come to the Avery County Cooperative Extension Center located at Heritage Park, 661 Vale Road, Newland, N.C. on the dates listed above.
